It’s safe to say our featured games for our previous article didn’t pan out as expected. Edmonton and Philly failed to meet expectations on home ice, but we are not here to pout, it’s on to the next slate. Sunday has a few afternoon games on the docket but my focus will be on the 6:00 pm eastern tilt between the L.A. Another 12 game slate awaits us for Thursday, December 12th. The headlines continue to be dominated by coaches being fired as yet another one got dismissed this week. Jim Montgomery was relieved of coaching duties by the Dallas Stars. A bit of a surprise considering the Stars are playing better over the last month. We will have to monitor how these teams fair with their new bosses going forward. For tonight it’s Columbus at Pittsburgh, Winnipeg at Detroit in the second leg of their home-and-home, and the New York Rangers continuing their west coast swing in San Jose. Week six of the NHL Weekly Roundup is here! Touching on last week’s headlines, the Pittsburgh Penguins are fighting through injuries and keeping up the pace going 2-1 on the week where most of the issues are actually coming from their goalie play. The Edmonton Oilers top two stars are keeping up their pace as discussed last week, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl put up three and four points respectively this past week.
