Hawks vs HEAT reaction

For the second straight game, the Miami Heat found themselves in a close one at home. Just like they did against the Chicago Bulls on Sunday, the Heat found a way to beat the Atlanta Hawks. The Heat overcame a 117-111 deficit with less than a minute left in regulation to force overtime, where the team went on a 16-0 run to close the game. Atlanta Hawks’ John Collins Suspended

News coming out of the NBA Office this morning is not good for the Atlanta Hawks and more importantly third-year forward John Collins. The league confirms that Collins tested positive for Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide 2. Collins stated in a message to ESPN just moments ago “He didn’t know the supplement contained an illegal component.”

The New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angeles Lakers got things started when they agreed in principle to a trade that will send all-star big man Anthony Davis to Hollywood.

Although, the trade felt anti-climatic in a way. The Lakers have long been enamored with Anthony Davis, and they were finally able to land him after a tumultuous trade deadline. As a result, the Pelicans acquired some of the most intriguing young talents the league has to offer in the form of Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram.
