The story of the second week of the NFL season was the continued re-shuffling of the elite fantasy quarterbacks, with upstarts like Lamar Jackson and Dak Prescott establishing themselves within the top tier. Let’s see what they have in store for week three!
We are well aware that we are in a brand new age of the National Football League. In this pass-heavy league, it is very crucial that everyone is on the same page. However, what makes up a good NFL offense in today’s game? Let’s break it down.
The 2019 NFL season is still several months away but it’s never too early to get ready the fantasy season. With free agency, trades and the NFL draft still to come, many of these players’ fantasy value will change for the upcoming season. In a four-part series, I take a shot in the dark and rank the top quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers and tight ends for 2019 redraft leagues. Check out the previous parts here, here, and here.
Tony Gonzalez has earned the right to be a candidate for the Pro Football HOF class of 2019. Today we will be going over why he should get in, some background info on him, and some of his accolades during his career.
Week 7 streaming went pretty well if you tuned in. Hope you snagged some of the featured players. Unfortunately, Ricky Seals-Jones got injured and did not return to the blowout game Thursday night. Let’s get right to Week 8.
Has anyone noticed that my “boom” plays go boom a week or two after I feature them? So unfortunate in the timing. Albert Wilson, c’mon man! Went off this past week. And don’t even get me started on Mason Crosby. Recommended him last week, and he saw plenty of opportunities and missed everything. If he hit all 6 of his kicks including his extra point attempt he would’ve had 21 points. 21. From a kicker. Then he goes and scores 17 against the Niners the next week.
It’s the weekend! Time to set those lineups. Hopefully, you have Drew Brees on your team. That would bring you here to check out my streamer options. But also, congrats for having the best fantasy quarterback come year end. Matt Stafford is also on a bye. In the next six weeks there will be a need to stream, so tell your friends where you got your streaming options. Or don’t – if you want them to lose their matchup.
Bye weeks are in full swing. Streaming the right QBs, TEs and defenses will help you get a big win when some of your best players are out on a bye. And with the tight end position littered with injuries, streaming might be necessary every week.
In Week 5 we will lose the Tampa Bay and Chicago Bears players, who were opponents a week ago. We saw Mitch Trubisky, who has graced this article in the past, just go completely off and Trey Burton show a little life. We saw the Fitzmagic show end to welcome in Jameis Winston and O.J. Howard suffered a sprained MCL (2-4 weeks). Week 5 also brings us the return of the Panthers and the Redskins. You can lock Cam Newton, CMC, Jordan Reed, and Chris Thompson in your lineups and we might just see Alex Smith pop up in this article from time to time.
Week 3 brought us the emergence of Baker Mayfield in Cleveland. He led the Browns to a comeback victory over the New York Jets and Sam Darnold. Baker won the first battle of many between the top two quarterbacks of the 2018 draft and looked damn good in relief of Tyrod Taylor. The fantasy quarterback battle of the century between Big Ben and Ryan Fitzpatrick did not disappoint at all and the Rams look like the team to beat this year and are a complete fantasy juggernaut. Oh yeah, and the Bills beat the Vikings in Minnesota.
Week 3 is upon us. The football season has been crazy so far. Ryan Fitzpatrick leads the league in fantasy points, Matt Breida leads the league in rush yards and DeSean Jackson is the receiving king through two weeks of play. If you play the strategy of streaming a quarterback, it has paid off well thus far as there have been plenty of quarterbacks outside of the top 12 weekly rankings that have performed very highly. Performances like Blake Bortles’ explosion for 30+ fantasy points against the Patriots last week secure confidence in streaming week in and week out.
Hope everybody’s Week 1 went according to plan and you secured that win. We are back again with streaming options for QB, TE, D/ST and I’ll be including my kicker pickup of the week. Plus some deep “boom” plays at running back and wide receiver for Week 2 if you’re looking for a lottery ticket.
Here you can find my weekly streaming options at quarterback, tight end, and defense every week of the season plus my sleeper “boom” options at running back and wide receiver. Each week I will base my picks on the format of a 12-team league with PPR scoring so be aware of this when taking my suggestions into consideration. I will only offer up players who are outside the Top 12 in the consensus weekly rankings from FantasyPros.
Football is BACK! We are just a few days away from opening night between the Falcons and Eagles. Fantasy drafts are still happening by the hour so here are my final PPR rankings. However, fantasy owners need to be aware that NFL clubs are making roster moves still and some of these players may end up changing teams. As always, happy hunting fantasy friends!
It feels great to finally type this: football season is back. And with the return of the NFL season comes the return of fantasy football drafts (read: one of the best times of year). Now, every year drafters are looking for any kind of edge–values, busts, sleepers, etc.–to help bring in their respective titles. While grabbing the right value at the right time might not guarantee a championship, it certainly doesn’t hurt.
