This season was an up and down year for Los Angeles Rams’ running back Todd Gurley, to say the least. Gurley in recent years has always been in the conversation of best running back in the NFL. Particularly, because of his multi-faceted game and skillset. However, this season such chatter diminished for quite a few reasons.
The Los Angeles Rams finally broke their streak of three consecutive losses with a resounding win over the Atlanta Falcons. It was a win they got on the strength of their new-look defense. The 37-10 win in Atlanta was the first for the Rams dating back to 2001.
The Los Angeles Rams running game has been non-existent through five games this season. There is much anticipation for running back Darrell Henderson who has not gotten true in-game action so far. The Los Angeles Rams have officially locked in their franchise quarterback for the next half-decade. This new deal will pay Goff the most guaranteed dollars in NFL history. They have agreed on a four-year extension with quarterback Jared Goff for a total of $134 million with $110 million guaranteed per Adam Schefter.
The Los Angeles Rams extend two of the pillars of the organization in head coach Sean McVay and general manager Les Snead. As a result, both will be with the Rams through the 2023 season. A level of security both men deserve at this point.
The Los Angeles Rams made it a point to retool this offseason in hopes of returning to the Super Bowl. One of the major pickups for last year’s NFC Champions was former Baltimore Ravens safety Eric Weddle. Especially when his peers go on to vote him as one of the Top 100 players in the NFL.

Three years ago, the Los Angeles Rams took Jared Goff with the number one overall pick. It was a draft choice that came down to Goff and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz. Both have had success at this point in their careers but with the Eagles signing Wentz to a four-year, $128 million extension. The Los Angeles Rams have had quite the season. Just a year ago they had their first winning season since 2003. This year, they got to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2001. It was successful in many ways and a failure in a few as well.
The Los Angeles Rams will represent the NFC as they will advance to the Super Bowl following their 26-23 win over the New Orleans Saints. This being a rematch of the top two seeds in the NFC who had already met in Week 9. It was a great game full of momentum swings and amazing plays but was not without its share of controversy.
The Los Angeles Rams lost their second game of the season to the Chicago Bears who left them with much to learn from the loss. Los Angeles made an identity for itself throughout the year that they have lost in both their losses. In both games, the Rams did not put the ball in Todd Gurley’s hands who is the best playmaker on the offense.
