Welcome back to another week of college football picks! I’m hoping to recover from a relatively poor week of picking last week after a great Week One. I’m picking teams to win, not to cover the spread. Let’s get into it.
Watching Justin Herbert made me feel like I was already scouting a professional. He has all of the intangibles that a good NFL quarterback is supposed to have, and his decision to return to Oregon just shows that he wants to improve even more to ensure that he’s ready for the NFL. Herbert has the body of a pocket passer, but don’t let that fool you. The man can still run when he needs to escape trouble. He’s the complete package of arm strength, accuracy, and the ability to run. Offensive line prospects are hard to get behind, especially when they are lacking a Quenton Nelson or a Taylor Lewan as we have been spoiled in recent memory. All summer I have been consuming more football than Joey Chestnut with Hot Dogs on the Fourth of July. My brain has been fried at times but I can honestly say this is going to lead to so much more content for both Coast to Coast Scouting and The Scorecrow and I cannot wait.
