We’re just under a month away from the 2019 MLB All-Star game in Cleveland, so here are my starting nine for the National League squad:
Yasmani Grandal, Brewers
2019 stats: .282/.381/.544 .925 OPS .385 wOBA 138 wRC+ .262 ISO 14 HR and 2.6 WAR.
Grandal ranks 1st among NL catchers in every statistic listed above and he’s been just what the Brewers expected as they signed him in free agency.

Week nine is here in the MLB and we are seeing the good teams separate from the bad teams. We are also seeing the teams that started off hot fall in the rankings. The Mariners started off 11-2 and are now in full sell mode. You can find my week eight rankings in the link below.

The baseball season is a grind. It’s every single day. We will approach DFS the same way and be winners at the end of the season even if we have our hot streaks and slumps. Every day there are safe bets that flop and values that hit big, but we need to stick with our strategy in evaluating and playing. Let’s take a look at what we have today.

You know the rules: the seven best hitters of the week
Max Kepler – OF Twins
As previously mentioned, the Twins are the best team in the league. The team has won ten of their last eleven, and as a result, they are the only team to hold a double-digit lead in their division. This well-balanced team has outstanding pitching from Jose Berrios, Martin Perez, and Jake Odorizzi to complement a line-up that features Jorge Polanco, C.J. Cron, Eddie Rosario, our feature this week; Max Kepler. Kepler led the league this week in average (.588), Slugging (1.118), OPS (1.737), and On-base percentage (.619). The German-born son of two ballet dancers has .276 average in 2019, forty-eight points greater than for his career. Continue reading

This article is for the all-day slate starting at 2:10, but if you only plan on playing the five-game slate starting at 7:05, I have tips for you as well. Also, some of the lineups aren’t released yet, so be sure to check that they are before submitting.

A good amount of top tier pitchers are available today so most lineups will feature a big-name pitcher. As of this writing there doesn’t appear to be any weather concerns so we shouldn’t have that to factor in. Top games to focus on for offensive production based on teams combined run lines are Baltimore at Colorado, Atlanta at St.Louis, Kansas City at New York Yankees and Seattle at Oakland. Here we go, let’s go for a trip around the horn!
