The penultimate game of the season matches two AFC West rivals against each other. It’s a farewell stadium game, and it could be the last time Philip Rivers faces the Raiders as a Charger. The 6-8 Oakland Raiders had a good start to the season, but four straight losses have quashed their momentum. Jon Gruden’s team is out to ensure they finish the season on a high. Continue reading →
Getting all three phases on the same page has been a real issue for the Chargers this year. Week 14 gives the Bolts their best chance of a ‘W’ before their season concludes. There are several ways to sum up the Chargers this season. A frustrating string of close losses is an enigma. For example, Mike Williams leads the NFL in yards per catch over the last four weeks, but he hasn’t found the End Zone. An explosive offense is missing, especially in the running game. It’s the coaching staff and the roster who can truly answer why the Bolts are 4-8? Continue reading →
The Kansas City Chiefs head into Mexico City to face the Los Angeles Chargers. Mexico City gets its redemption in tonight’s game. Last year when the Chiefs were scheduled to play in Mexico City, the field conditions were not great so they moved the game to Los Angeles. That game ended up being a classic. I expect this game to be a great one as well. Here are my top players in this divisional matchup in Mexico. Continue reading →
This is a must-win divisional game for both teams. The Los Angeles Chargers started the season 2-5 and have won two in a row to get back to 4-5. The Oakland Raiders are right in the middle of the playoff race as well at 4-4. Both teams are fighting to stay alive in the wild card race and even the division battle with the Kansas City Chiefs. Here are my top players in this game that should be very close and hard-fought.
Even though it feels like it just started, we are more than halfway through the 2019 season. The San Francisco 49ers are the only remaining undefeated team as the New England Patriots loss on Sunday while the Cincinnati Bengals are the only remaining winless team as the Miami Dolphins got their first win of the season against the New York Jets. Last week’s Thursday night game was closer than many expected between the 49ers and Arizona Cardinals. Hopefully, tonight’s game is similar. In a division matchup between the Los Angles Chargers and Oakland Raiders, as both teams enter tonight’s game needing a win in the tight AFC Wild Card race.
Alright, it’s time to cook up some winning lineups after some solid picks last week. Can you believe after this week, we will be more than halfway through the regular season? Hopefully, last week you were able to construct a nice winning lineup based on some of the plays mentioned in last week’s article. However, you aren’t here to reminisce about last week. All my plays are based on DraftKings pricing. It’s also important to note that when I list a player as a fade, I do not mean I will have 0% of them, but I will be way under the field as far as exposure goes, and likely will not play them on single entry lineups.
Well, week seven started with a bang and in a negative manner. With the Patrick Mahomes injury uncertainty that has left a lot of owners scrambling to find a win this week. We might be able to offer those answers in finding that win and to help fantasy football players with their roster construction, three of our writers have provided some insight on which players they would start, would sit, and consider a sleeper for week seven. Be sure to follow all of them on twitter and ask any of The Scorecrow’s fantasy writers for fantasy advice.
This article was posted last week as an early peek at value for week one. This is a revision of that article with all the pertinent news that has happened in a whirlwind week leading up to opening Sunday.
The 2018 season for the Los Angeles Chargers and Head Coach Anthony Lynn was a pleasant surprise. In 2018 the offense and defense clicked, which culminated in a 12-4 record with seven Pro Bowl selections. Despite losing in the divisional round of the playoffs, and the ongoing contract saga of Melvin Gordon (more on that later), expectations for 2019 in Los Angeles are now even higher, with talk of even a possible Super Bowl appearance, which would be the franchise’s first super bowl appearance since 1994. The 2019 NFL season is right around the corner! The Hall of Fame Game between the Atlanta Falcons and Denver Broncos is tonight, meaning we have just five weeks till opening night. That time will (hopefully) go by quickly. In the meanwhile, it is never too early to get started on building the ultimate fantasy football team. To help with that, the Scorecrow family has put together a mini-series with a handful of writers giving you their opinions on five questions. Be sure to follow all of the writers on twitter and ask any questions you may have regarding their answers. Without further ado, let’s get into it.
