Los Angeles Dodgers 2019 Season Recap

Joey Ricotta | November 16th, 2019

Another great season and a trip to the playoffs, following a 106-56 regular-season record that brought the Los Angeles Dodgers to their seventh straight NL West first-place finish. However, the playoffs proved to be a different story, as the Dodgers were knocked out even earlier than in recent years, failing to reach the World Series for the first time in three years. They fell to the eventually World Series champions, the Washington Nationals in five games in the NLDS. Let’s take a look back on the season, as well as a look forward to 2020. Continue reading

It all comes down to this for the four teams in the National League. Two will move on, and two will go home. Two teams will feel the thrill of victory, and two will know the agony of defeat. Okay, screw it. No more cliches. We’re here to make money, so let’s get down to it.

Two-Start Pitchers: Week 22 and Streamer of the Week

Matt Bishop | September 1, 2019

STREAMER OF THE WEEK

Mitch Keller, SP PIT

(37% CBS, 4% ESPN, 9% Yahoo)

9/03: Miami Marlins (48 – 87) Last in NL East

9/08: St. Louis Cardinals (75 – 59) 1st in NL Central

Firmly solidified as the Pittsburgh Pirates top prospect and ranked as the 25th best prospect in baseball, Mitch Keller carries an electric skill set and an array of plus offerings. But since his callup on 5/27, the results have been lack-luster, pitching to a butt clenching 8.62 ERA 1.98 WHIP. While his 11.86 K/9 is encouraging, Keller has never really been known for his control, which is evident from his 3.45 BB/9. This is slightly higher than his 2.83 BB/9 minor league career mark, but not terrible for his first exposure to major league hitters. Continue reading

DraftKings Around the Horn August 29th, 2019

Joel Dorcas |August 29th, 2019

A more simplistic slate awaits us for Thursday night as we have just six games to breakdown. Just like last night, Colorado appears to be where high scoring is most likely to occur. The Texas Rangers are at home against Felix Hernandez and the Seattle Mariners, and the Los Angeles Dodgers will visit the Arizona Diamondbacks. These games appear to have the best potential for higher scoring. Grabs some peanuts and a frosty beverage, we’re going Around the Horn! Continue reading
