Joe Heller | May 13th, 2020

The Las Vegas Raiders are coming off a season that fell off the rails, after losing a rookie running back to an injury that shelved him for the last month of the season. The Raiders were primed for a wildcard spot prior to Jacobs’ injury, as the Chiefs had the AFC West Division all but locked up when the calendar flipped to December. However, the Broncos, Raiders, and Chargers, each made strides to improve their offenses. This division has the potential for some close and meaningful games to determine who makes the playoffs. With the 2020 schedule set, there are some significant games each AFC West team will play. With that said, this is an eight-part series where our Scorecrow NFL analysts do an early prediction of the wins and losses of each team. On Wednesday, March 18, the silver and black will officially be open for business as they take their first step towards a make or break season. When the toe meets ball in September, a lot will be expected of Jon Gruden’s latest team to work its way to the playoffs. They came closer than many predicted in 2019, so securing the proper free agents and acing the draft again can put this organization on the fast lane to Super Bowl contenders in 2020.
