Brandin Cooks’ Fantasy Value in Houston

J.R. Duren | April 10th, 2020

Brandin Cooks is switching uniforms, again. The question is, what does the trade to the Houston Texans do to his fantasy value? Is he a borderline WR2/WR3 or a top-10 sleeper? Say what you will about the Texans personnel decisions, the key for fantasy managers is how Cooks will affect the Texans’ offense and how the Texans’ offense will affect Cooks.

Houston Texans 2019 Season Recap

Nick Jehamy| January 30th, 2020

The Houston Texans were part of the closest division in the National Football League with four games separating the top (Texans) and bottom (Jacksonville Jaguars) teams in the division. The Texans ended the regular season at 10-6, one win less than the season before and the second season in a row winning the division. Continue reading

The NFL playoffs are officially here. What better way to get things started than a showdown slate. The AFC South division champions, Houston Texans, host the Buffalo Bills. Both teams were able to rest players last week because they were locked into there playoff seeding. With both teams coming in fresh, here are my top players and game predictions for this playoff matchup.

TNF Fantasy Preview: Indianapolis Colts vs Houston Texans

Mike Fanelli November 21st, 2019

This time next week all of us will be enjoying Thanksgiving with three football games on. Unfortunately, that’s not till next week and we have to get through another week of football first. The good news is this is the last week of the season with teams on a bye. Fantasy owners will be without their star players on the Arizona Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, and Minnesota Vikings this week. However, tonight’s matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans should offer an entertaining game.

Well back again to go into week eight of the NFL season and you’re either sitting comfortably or barley hanging on hope to get into the playoffs.  To help fantasy football players with their roster construction, three of our writers have provided some insight on which players they would start, would sit, and consider a sleeper for week eight. Week Eight NFL Picks: Spreads, Props and More

Mike Fanelli & Givanni Damico | October 26th, 2019

Thursday night’s game between the Washington Redskins and Minnesota Vikings wasn’t as entertaining as we had hoped. The Vikings won the game 19-9 as the two teams combined for just one touchdown but seven field goals. In most places, the line was Vikings -16.5 and they didn’t come close to covering it. Despite Case Keenum leaving the game at halftime because of a concussion, the Vikings outscored the Redskins by just three points in the second half. Needless to say, anyone who backed the Vikings -16.5 was left very disappointed in Kirk Cousins and the Vikings’ effort in the second half.

The Walsh Way – Week 8 NFL DFS GPP Plays

Kevin Walsh | October 26th, 2019

All my plays are based on DraftKings pricing. Its also important to note that when I list a player as a fade, I do not mean I will have 0% of them, but I will be way under the field as far as exposure goes, and likely will not play them on single entry lineups.

The Walsh Way – Week 6 DFS Values

Kevin Walsh | October 10th, 2019

Another week in the books, and another page of value chalk that failed spectacularly. As with most weeks, much of the popular value ends up being from one team. Last week, it was Bengals pass-catchers, this week it looks to be the Dolphins offense. We will try to navigate through the landmines the best we can.

Saints vs Texans: Key Matchups

John Lepore | September 9th, 2019

Tonight the New Orleans Saints open up their 2019 season against the Houston Texans. The last time these two teams met was in November of 2015. In that game in Houston, the Saints managed only two field goals and the Texans got two touchdown passes from Brian Hoyer (to Ryan Griffin and Cecil Shorts) and a touchdown run by Alfred Blue to secure the 24-6 victory. New Orleans also hasn’t won their opener since 2013. Tonight will be a bit different.
