Detroit Lions 2019 Season Recap

Dale Money | January 9th, 2020

The Detroit Lions started the season off with plenty of promise, starting out the season 2-1-1. That one loss being a 34-30 nail biter against the Kansas City Chiefs, in which Matthew Stafford would put together a touchdown drive to push Detroit ahead with two minutes to left. Chiefs running back Darrell Williams would take back the lead for the last time, with 23 seconds left to spare.

Tom Greene | December 9th, 2019

Lions fans were served elimination from the playoffs at the Thanksgiving Dinner table last week. Unfortunately, this week, they were served seconds. A 20-7 loss in the first game all season in which they did not have a lead brings the already-eliminated team to 3-9-1. As for Minnesota, they got a much-needed victory for their playoff hopes and improve to 9-4 on the year.

Detroit Lions Week 13 Recap- Elimination.

Tom Greene | December 2nd, 2019

Yes, you read that right. At 3-8-1, the Detroit Lions have become the first team in the NFC to be eliminated from playoff contention. This brings another two questions to my plate that came a lot sooner than I’d anticipated. “What’s the point of the last four games? What’s the point of these recaps now?”

Those questions will be answered in the three recap points. Simply put, the Lions went from a 2-0-1 team that showed some promise to a 3-8-1 team that’s looking for its identity again. Whether you’re a player, coach, front office member or fan, going 1-8 in a nine-game stretch is never fun. Let’s look at the three points.

For that reason, I’ve tried to avoid mentioning my cash game plays for this article.

Detroit Lions Week 11 Recap- Cowboys Still “Dem Boyz” For Now

Tom Greene | November 18th, 2019

Ah yes, if you read the title, it tells you a lot about this game. The famed Wiz Khalifa song, “We Dem Boyz“, has been a rallying tune amongst fans since the song came out in 2014. No, not the fight song, simply a rallying tune. Of course, like any Cowboys-related content, it’s been memed. Whether or not it’s funny is up to the reader.

Detroit Lions Week 9 Recap- Gruden, Carr Raid Lions

Tom Greene | November 4th, 2019

The Lions traveled to Oakland in their last season at the Colosseum. The plan was to use an Air-Raid offense (like Arizona’s) to sink the Raiders’ ship in the Black Hole for one last time. Instead, Jon Gruden utilized Derek Carr to do exactly what Matthew Stafford was supposed to do- raid the secondary and win the game. Continue reading

The Walsh Way – Week 9 NFL DFS GPP Plays

Kevin Walsh | November 2nd, 2019

All my plays are based on DraftKings pricing. It’s also important to note that when I list a player as a fade, I do not mean I will have 0% of them, but I will be way under the field as far as exposure goes, and likely will not play them on single entry lineups.
