Lions fans were served elimination from the playoffs at the Thanksgiving Dinner table last week. Unfortunately, this week, they were served seconds. A 20-7 loss in the first game all season in which they did not have a lead brings the already-eliminated team to 3-9-1. As for Minnesota, they got a much-needed victory for their playoff hopes and improve to 9-4 on the year.
As always, let’s look at the three takeaways from this Lions loss. “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.”
Hopefully, everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving and didn’t beat the hell out of anyone on Black Friday. If you got to enjoy the three Thanksgiving games, all three were entertaining, unless you’re a Cowboys fan then just two were entertaining. The underdog covered in two of the three games with the Falcons coming up a point or two short of covering the spread in their game against the Saints. The good news is this is the last week of the season with teams on a bye. Fantasy owners will be without their star players on the Arizona Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, and Minnesota Vikings this week. However, tonight’s matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans should offer an entertaining game.
If you told me about three weeks prior to the start of the 2019-2020 NFL season that I’d be writing an article on the Colts’ future at quarterback, I’d have laughed at you. We all know what happened: Andrew Luck, beaten and exhausted beyond repair, retired at age 30, breaking Colts fans’ hearts worldwide. The Colts have a relatively well-rounded roster, one that was expected to contend for a Super Bowl with Luck at the helm, but alas. Insert Jacoby Brissett, who has performed admirably this season. However, an important question remains – is he the answer? Let’s look at some options. Continue reading →
I thought maybe this would be the week where quarterbacks didn’t dominate this report, but sadly that is not the case. So without further comment let’s take a look at some players with injury issues both good and bad heading into the main slate of week ten games. Continue reading →
