With 32 teams in the midst of regular-season preparation via training camp practices, we often see the hype for rookies spin out of control. It seems like every year without fail, NFL Twitter gets a hold of a couple clips of a corner making a nice interception, or a running back juking a linebacker and leaving them in the dust, and proclaims them as the next great thing. I’m here to look at seven players that were drafted in April that have seen a ton of chatter, and to give my predictions on if they will prove worthy from day one.

NFL Networks Elliot Harrison recently compiled a list of his top 25 QB’s of All-Time, and his list for some people was god awful, and for some it was accurate but there are a couple things we all agree on. A) Only three QB’s have a legitimate argument for who is the G.O.A.T, Peyton Manning, Joe Montana, and Tom Brady, B) Aaron Rodgers must be in your top 10, although he is overrated by the masses. Those are a couple rules I have, you may have your own but let’s get down to critiquing his list and compiling our own list. 2018 was a surprising year for the Indianapolis Colts. With an extremely young defense, and Andrew Luck returning from a nasty shoulder injury, expectations were rather low. However, Luck made an incredible comeback. While they started the season 1-5, they came back to finish 10-6 and earned themselves a wild-card berth in the playoffs. Luck put up some impressive numbers along the way as well. Today, we dove back into the film from his 2018 campaign to see just how well he did. Along with a couple of factors that he can improve on. This article will ignore teams that have found the fountain of youth (looking at you, New England) and teams that are unproven but have potential (i.e., the Ravens if Lamar Jackson makes a big leap).
