Five Bold Predictions for the Los Angeles Chargers

Sam Schneider  | May 16th, 2020

After a 2019 season that saw the Los Angeles Chargers finish 5-11 and in the basement of the AFC West, they hit the ground running in free agency. The Chargers don’t have to look far into the rear-view mirror to see a 2018 season where they went 12-4 under Anthony Lynn and made the playoffs. In 2020 they open the brand new SoFi Stadium in Southern California (a joint venture with the LA Rams) and are ready to christen their new digs with a winning season. What does 2020 hold for the Bolts? Here are some (very) bold takes for this season’s Chargers. Let’s get crazy! Continue reading

NFL Free Agency Preview: Who is on the Market

Frank Dyevoich| January 16th, 2020

Super Bowl LIV is just three weeks away and yesterday I broke down the complicated ins and outs of free agency. Today I’m going to break down the top upcoming free agents at several positions. A lot of these players will likely be given the franchise or transition tag assuming they don’t reach a long term deal before free agency begins.

Los Angeles Chargers 2019 Season Recap

Mason Thompson | January 15th, 2020

Many had the Chargers pegged for a long route to the postseason and potentially the Super Bowl. I for one had them ranked third overall in my preseason power rankings behind only the Patriots and Saints. The team had plenty of drama before the regular-season opener as Melvin Gordon was holding out for a new contract. Gordon would eventually end his holdout before week four. Superstar safety, Derwin James missed a significant amount of time with a foot injury suffered in mid-August. James would return by week 11, but it was too little too late. Continue reading

TNF Fantasy Preview: Los Angeles Chargers vs Oakland Raiders

Mike Fanelli November 7th, 2019

Even though it feels like it just started, we are more than halfway through the 2019 season. The San Francisco 49ers are the only remaining undefeated team as the New England Patriots loss on Sunday while the Cincinnati Bengals are the only remaining winless team as the Miami Dolphins got their first win of the season against the New York Jets. Last week’s Thursday night game was closer than many expected between the 49ers and Arizona Cardinals. Hopefully, tonight’s game is similar. In a division matchup between the Los Angles Chargers and Oakland Raiders, as both teams enter tonight’s game needing a win in the tight AFC Wild Card race.

The Walsh Way – Week 9 NFL DFS GPP Plays

Kevin Walsh | November 2nd, 2019

All my plays are based on DraftKings pricing. It’s also important to note that when I list a player as a fade, I do not mean I will have 0% of them, but I will be way under the field as far as exposure goes, and likely will not play them on single entry lineups.

Joey Ricotta | October 19th, 2019

Welcome in. Hopefully, everyone had a great week and is as excited as I am for this week’s games. Hopefully, last week you were able to construct a nice winning lineup based on some of the plays mentioned in last week’s article. However, you aren’t here to reminisce about last week.

Well, week seven started with a bang and in a negative manner. With the Patrick Mahomes injury uncertainty that has left a lot of owners scrambling to find a win this week. We might be able to offer those answers in finding that win and to help fantasy football players with their roster construction, three of our writers have provided some insight on which players they would start, would sit, and consider a sleeper for week seven. Waiver Wire Targets For Week Seven

Steve Miller | October 15th, 2019

At this point in the fantasy season, your team is starting to really take shape. Your first-round picks are either great, good but not great, or disappointing. Your other rounds look similar, with a variety of unlikely names in the top 12 at their positions through this stage of the season. Continue reading

2019 Fantasy Football: Top Waiver Wire Adds after Week Four

Mike Fanelli | October 1st, 2019

We are roughly a quarter of the way through the 2019 NFL season. Most teams have played four games with the exceptions being the New York Jets and San Francisco 49ers as they had their bye week this past weekend. This coming week, fantasy owners will be without their Detroit Lions and Miami Dolphins players. That means no Matthew Stafford, Kerryon Johnson, or Kenny Golladay. It also means no D/ST to stream against the awful Dolphins.

NFL DFS: Cash Game Plays for Week 1 (Kickoff Sunday)

Joey Ricotta | September 8th, 2019

Well, this is it. This is what we’ve all been waiting for. NFL football is back baby! Of course, we had the Chicago versus Green Bay game on Thursday night to kick off the season, but that was simply a tease. A low scoring defensive battle with one touchdown over the course of the game. Sure, it was a good football game (not the outcome I wanted being a Bears fan), but not at all what fantasy players were hoping for either. There will be a lot more action and points today, guaranteed. Cash games have been an area we can find an edge when it pertains to daily fantasy football. Every year new players jump aboard the always rolling DFS train. Luckily for you, most of the new players will be applying what they know about season-long fantasy into DFS. That’s not a terrible strategy, but it can lead to bad habits or skipping over important details. By putting in the extra effort and taking in as much as you can, you’re already winning. With all of that said, let’s kick off this season the right way. Take a stroll with me and look at some options to target for Week 1 DFS Cash Games. Continue reading

Fantasy Battle: Evan Engram vs Hunter Henry

Joshua Abbe | Aug 28th, 2019

In one of the closest position battles out there between two tier two tight ends provide an opportunity to provide fantasy points on your roster when you pass on Travis Kelce, Zach Ertz, and George Kittle. With both Hunter Henry and Evan Engram in offenses that should produce targets, they have the capability to be top tight ends at the end of the season. According to Fantasy Football Calculator, Engram has an ADP of 5.09 (TE5) while Henry has an ADP of 6.04 (TE6) makes for an interesting choice during the draft process. Let’s look at some positives and negatives for both players at their current ADPs.

Top 12 Fantasy Tight Ends: Hall of Fame Week Edition

Mike Fanelli | July 31st, 2019

The 2019 NFL season is almost here! Well, the preseason at least. The Hall of Fame Game between the Atlanta Falcons and Denver Broncos is tomorrow. The regular season is a little more than five weeks away, but football is back baby! Of course, that means redraft fantasy leagues will be drafting left and right over the next month or so. With that in mind, here are my top 12 tight ends for the 2019 season.

Chargers vs Patriots AFC Divisional Round Preview

Levon Satamian | January 13th, 2019

The Los Angeles Chargers will visit Foxborough for a meeting against the New England Patriots. Philip Rivers and Tom Brady will meet once again, this possibly being the last time they meet in their career. Tom Brady has had Philip Rivers’ number so far, with a 7-0 record. But, this game could have a different outcome.
