Did Yankees Really Ever Need a “Frontline” Starter?

Alex Kielar| September 12th, 2019

When Yankees’ GM Brian Cashman decided to stay pat at the July 31 Trade Deadline and not make even one move for a starter, a lot of questions were raised and some fans were outraged. That outrage was backed up by the fact the Yankees’ starters, over a six-game period from July 20-25, allowed a horrendous 15.59 ERA, allowing 41 earned runs and 12 home runs over 23 2/3 innings. As terrible as this was, did the Yankees really NEED a starter at the deadline? 81 wins for a team means they are assured they can finish no worse than .500. However, if you have 80 wins in August, you’ll finish above .500, guaranteed. You’ll most likely make the playoffs, too. Of course, barring catastrophic injuries or a strike.

Tom Greene | July 2nd, 2019

On the first of June, the Minnesota Twins and the Los Angeles Dodgers stood atop their respective leagues. Both were rolling. Both had comfortable division leads. Now, on July 1st, a team has overtaken the Minnesota Twins for best in the American League. Thankfully for our @jball0202 and my friend @Audra_Martin, the Twins still hold an eight-game lead in the American League Central. So, it certainly wasn’t the Twins fault they don’t hold the best record in the American League. This new team has just been on fire. Let’s break down who the best teams are on July 1st. Touch ‘Em All: MLB DFS 5/26

Givanni Damico| May 26th, 2019

The Rockies’ stack killed it last night, while all of the wrong Tigers had good games, and Jason Vargas threw his best game in two years. The game stack of Kansas City and the Yankees was solid yesterday, although lacking production from Adalberto Mondesi. Let’s jump into today’s DFS picks.

Week seven of the fantasy baseball season has now concluded and Christian Yelich ONLY has 19 home runs. What a bust, right? Of course, the best place to improve your fantasy team is through the buy low and sell high transactions of barter.
