We are already through about a third of the season! Before you know it, February will be upon us and Tom Brady will be winning his 15th Super Bowl or something like that. In this week’s edition, Austin, Tyler and Anthony hand out awards to a couple rookies, while also criticizing some veteran players. Continue reading

Week six has come and gone and we saw another batch of impressive rookie performances. This week was a rather defensive heavy week with a few standouts of the offensive side with one rookie quarterback making NFL history. Let’s get right into the rankings starting, as always, with a couple of honorable mentions.

The Los Angeles Chargers (2-3) host the Pittsburgh Steelers (1-4) in the Sunday night game. Anthony Lynn is under pressure to get his team back to .500 football. The oddsmakers consider the Bolts as six-point favorites. The Chargers are 8-22 all-time against the Steelers in the regular season.

Week five was not nice to the IDP report last week. Whether it was injuries or underperformance not many guys came up big on defense this week that wasn’t in the top three tiers. It looked like Clay Matthews was off to a hot start, but a broken jaw put that to a halt. My sleeper Todd Davis had a good game and Eric Weddle had a busy day. Unfortunately, the rest of the gang for my special first quarter addition came up short. The IDP game can be a mean beast if your guys don’t get the consistency and snaps to make a play or get those points tallied.

Another week brings us another set of rookie rankings as we saw a lot of defensive players put up impressive individual performances. Let’s get right into the rankings starting, as always, with a couple of honorable mentions.

If you had told me before this season that the top two rookie quarterbacks were going to be Gardner Minshew and Daniel Jones, I would have thought you were crazy but here we are. While some household names on offense have struggled, more defensive players were able to make their mark this past week and it was impressive. But that’s enough talk for now, let’s dig into these rankings starting with a couple of honorable mentions. Continue reading

Let’s be honest, week one probably set our expectations for some of these offensive rookies extremely high. Putting it into perspective, we haven’t seen four rookie pass catchers in their debut going over 100 yards ever before in NFL history. Week two was a reality check for most and reminded us how difficult it is to maintain success in the NFL. While the numbers weren’t as wild this week, there were still several solid rookie performances to highlight and new players who shined starting with a couple of honorable mentions. Continue reading
