Five Bold Predictions for the Las Vegas Raiders: Josh Jacobs

Five Bold Predictions for the Las Vegas Raiders

Joe Heller | May 13th, 2020

The Las Vegas Raiders are coming off a season that fell off the rails, after losing a rookie running back to an injury that shelved him for the last month of the season. The Raiders were primed for a wildcard spot prior to Jacobs’ injury, as the Chiefs had the AFC West Division all but locked up when the calendar flipped to December. Here are my five bold predictions for the Las Vegas Raiders. Continue reading

Oakland Raiders 2019 Season Recap

Mason Thompson | January 17th, 2020

Many thought that the Raiders got a steal when they traded for Steelers receiver, Antonio Brown for third and fifth-round picks. Well, we all know how that turned around. Not only has Brown’s playing career turned completely upside down, but his whole life has as well. After his last blunder which showed him live-streaming a profane outburst against his ex-girlfriend in front of multiple police officers, he has lost all but any chance he had at returning to the NFL.

Thursday Night Football Week 10 DFS

Brandon Braasch | November 7th, 2019

This is a must-win divisional game for both teams. The Los Angeles Chargers started the season 2-5 and have won two in a row to get back to 4-5. The Oakland Raiders are right in the middle of the playoff race as well at 4-4. Both teams are fighting to stay alive in the wild card race and even the division battle with the Kansas City Chiefs. Here are my top players in this game that should be very close and hard-fought.

TNF Fantasy Preview: Los Angeles Chargers vs Oakland Raiders

Mike Fanelli November 7th, 2019

Even though it feels like it just started, we are more than halfway through the 2019 season. The San Francisco 49ers are the only remaining undefeated team as the New England Patriots loss on Sunday while the Cincinnati Bengals are the only remaining winless team as the Miami Dolphins got their first win of the season against the New York Jets. Last week’s Thursday night game was closer than many expected between the 49ers and Arizona Cardinals. Hopefully, tonight’s game is similar. In a division matchup between the Los Angles Chargers and Oakland Raiders, as both teams enter tonight’s game needing a win in the tight AFC Wild Card race.

The Walsh Way – Week 9 NFL DFS GPP Plays

Kevin Walsh | November 2nd, 2019

All my plays are based on DraftKings pricing. It’s also important to note that when I list a player as a fade, I do not mean I will have 0% of them, but I will be way under the field as far as exposure goes, and likely will not play them on single entry lineups.

Detroit Lions Week 8 Recap: Giant Victory Keeps Lions on the Prowl

Tom Greene | October 28th, 2019

At 2-3-1, division and/or playoff hopes seem far-fetched. Not many teams, if any, come back from 2-5 (or 2-4-1) to play meaningful football in January. But, .500 teams after week eight still have a chance, and the Lions had a chance to get back into the race with that record.

Woz’s NFL Notebook: New Orleans Saints dominate the Chicago Bears

John Woz, Jr. | October 21st, 2019

Week seven of the NFL emphasizes what we already knew about the 6-1 New Orleans Saints, they’re an outstanding football team. This week’s NFL Notebook features the Saints and two other NFC stalwarts, the 6-1 Green Bay Packers and the 6-0 San Francisco 49ers.

NFL DFS – Cash Game Plays for Week 4

Joey Ricotta | September 28th, 2019

Welcome in. Hopefully, everyone had a great week and is as excited as I am for this week’s games. The goal of the cash game article is to outline some of the safer plays, while also, providing options that will help you create the most optimal builds. The whole point of it all is to make some money. Sometimes we won’t, but putting ourselves in the best position to do so is the main thing. That goes without saying, but can sometimes get overshadowed by the results on a week to week basis.

2019 Fantasy Football Week Four: Starts, Sits, and Sleepers

Joshua Abbe, Mason Thompson, Givanni Damico | September 27th, 2019

Well here’s to hoping you didn’t lose Saquon Barkley, but if you did don’t feel defeated yet. You aren’t the only one and some of our writers did as well. It’s a painful experience as if you were hurt alongside him, but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Now you get to test your management skills till he returns and as the season goes along start to make trades and waiver pickups to stay afloat till Barkley, Tyreek Hill, Drew Brees, A.J. Green, and other key players return.

The Walsh Way – Week Two DFS Values

Kevin Walsh | September 13th, 2019

We are on to week two! This week’s value edition will admittedly contain several Raiders due to the pricing coming out prior to Monday Night Football, so when you see an Oakland player in each section, know that it’s due to a combination of the Monday Night effect, as well as the initial week settling-in process.

Steve Miller | September 10th, 2019

Week one of the 2019 NFL season is in the books, and it was a wild one as usual. From the defensive struggle in the 100 year opener to Tom Brady and the Patriots dominating on Sunday night, the NFL came back to our living rooms with a vengeance.

Whether your fantasy team didn’t perform how you expected – you’re not alone – or absolutely crushed it in week one, now is the time to scrounge the waiver wire for the next breakout star.

2019 Fantasy Football Week One: Starts, Sits, and Sleepers

Joshua Abbe, Mason Thompson, Givanni Damico | September 7th, 2019

What a start to the 2019 NFL season! Antonio Brown has turned the Oakland Raiders into The Sopranos, while Julio Jones just signed a contract extension that is fully guaranteed. However, tomorrow we can get away from all the nonsense and enjoy 13 great football games. To help fantasy football players with their roster construction, three of our writers have provided some insight on which players they would start, would sit, and consider a sleeper for week one. Be sure to follow all of them on twitter and ask any of The Scorecrow’s fantasy writers for fantasy advice.
