We’ve only a few days away from the NBA trade deadline. Typically, teams will look for deals that can significantly improve their chances in their conference. Last year, the Toronto Raptors acquired Marc Gasol, a move that helped them win last year’s championship. The Miami Heat are reportedly looking to do the same this week.
Early this morning, it was confirmed by Adrian Wojnarowski that Kawhi Leonard has chosen to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers, spurning the rival Los Angeles Lakers and the defending champion Toronto Raptors. Later that same minute, Wojnarowski reported that the Oklahoma City Thunder are trading Paul George to L.A. for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Danilo Gallinari, five first-round picks, and swap rights for two other draft picks.
The Los Angeles Clippers finished 42-40 last year and missed the playoffs by five games. They were one of the best non-playoff teams in the league. With the moves they made, can they get back to the playoffs?
