Analysis of How Record-Breaking Contracts have Inflated the QB market

Nickolas Loza | February 19th, 2020

As of 2020, there are currently six quarterbacks according to OverTheCap that are being paid upwards of $30,000,000 annually. Those QB’s are Russell Wilson, Ben Roethlisberger, Aaron Rodgers, Jared Goff, Carson Wentz, and Matt Ryan. Obviously, all of these quarterbacks have done something to earn their contracts, but what got us to this point where quarterbacks are demanding upwards of $30M dollars? This is what I’ll be analyzing today in this article. We’ll go over the highest paid Quarterbacks since 2014, and which record-breaking signings really broke open the market. These contracts factor in original signing bonuses into the first year of the contract, so they may seem a little suspect in the drops from year to year.

Philadelphia Eagles 2019 Season Recap

Alex Kielar & Pranav Ramasubramanian | January 30th, 2020

In a season that began with Super Bowl aspirations, the Eagles barely won a weak NFC East division at a 9-7 record. Even that was a struggle as they had to win four straight games to win the division, including a crucial home win against division rival Dallas. They did all this just to get knocked off in the Wild Card round by the fifth-seeded Seattle Seahawks by a score of 17-9.

Seahawks vs Eagles NFC Wildcard Preview

Pranav Ramasubramanian| January 5th, 2020

The Philadelphia Eagles did it again winning four straight games when it mattered most to get themselves into the playoffs for the third straight year, while the Seattle Seahawks rode Russell Wilson and their running backs to an 11-5 record. Carson Wentz has been banged up the last two years with multiple injuries enabling Nick Foles to start in the last two years of the playoffs, but now Wentz is healthy and has a chance to prove himself on the big stage for the first time in his career. The Seahawks had a chance to win their division and set up a matchup with the Minnesota Vikings, but failure to do so resulted in the five seed. The Seahawks and Eagles played each other once in the regular season resulting in a 17-9 victory. Rashaad Penny was the star of the game with 129 yards off of 14 carries with a touchdown. Monday Night Football DFS: Week 14

Brandon Braasch | December 9th, 2019

This Monday Night Football game is a matchup between two NFC East teams. The Philadelphia Eagles play at home vs the New York Giants. The Eagles are 5-7 and the Giants are 2-10. It might be hard to believe but if the Eagles win this game, that will put them into a tie in first place at 6-7 for the NFC East. Here are my top players in this matchup.

Woz’s NFL Week 13 Notebook: Disastrous Eagles Slump to Dolphins

John Woz, Jr.  | December 2nd, 2019

The NFL playoff race took another turn in the AFC after the Patriots fell for their second defeat. Elsewhere, a competitive NFC playoff picture makes for an exciting end to the regular season. The Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals rocked Week 13 in the NFL. Carson Wentz received a lot of grief on social media after the Dolphins beat the Eagles. The Jets had the chance to win four straight, but it wasn’t to be. Andy Dalton led the Bengals to their first win of the season. My NFL Week 13 Notebook starts with a big upset before moving on to a monster clash in Baltimore.
