Traveling Tom’s MLB All Star Game Experience

16 miles. Two days. An amazing experience. The 2019 All-Star Game provided a great lineup of things to do for fans anywhere from 10 to 100… and even the youngsters got a thrill out of the mascots there! While I was not credentialed to go to this event (I hope my writing can get to the right people at some point), I had a great time experiencing the nation focusing on one city and one event. Cleveland had a couple years to prepare for this and they knocked it out of the park. Of course, not everyone was satisfied, but that’s not realistic. Team Grades: National League East

The NL East is going about how you would expect it. The Nationals started out terribly but have gone back on track, while the Braves have been consistently leading the division for almost the entire year. The Phillies aren’t doing as well as many would have thought with how good they did in free agency, while the Mets are disappointing as usual. Wait, is there another team in this division? Oh right, the Marlins. They’re pretty bad, but honestly, they’re outperforming expectations due to young pitching that has been doing very well.

On the first of June, the Minnesota Twins and the Los Angeles Dodgers stood atop their respective leagues. Both were rolling. Both had comfortable division leads. Now, on July 1st, a team has overtaken the Minnesota Twins for best in the American League. Thankfully for our @jball0202 and my friend @Audra_Martin, the Twins still hold an eight-game lead in the American League Central. So, it certainly wasn’t the Twins fault they don’t hold the best record in the American League. This new team has just been on fire. Let’s break down who the best teams are on July 1st.
