Week eight is here and some fresh power-rankings are out. This is the first installment of The Scorecrow’s top 10 power rankings. There have been some teams that have been consistent, some teams that have been disappointing, and some really surprising teams. So let’s break down the top 10.
This article is for the all-day slate starting at 2:10, but if you only plan on playing the five-game slate starting at 7:05, I have tips for you as well. Also, some of the lineups aren’t released yet, so be sure to check that they are before submitting.
The former top prospect for the Dodgers, Alex Verdugo hasn’t had many opportunities to take over a starting role for the Dodgers. This season with the departures of Matt Kemp and Yasiel Puig (via trade) he has received more playing time and has flourished in his new role.
The Los Angeles Dodgers currently have 4 of their top prospects firmly solidified in MLB’s Top 100 Prospects List. The Dodgers farm system ranks as the 8th best in baseball, with at least 4 of their top prospects having the potential to make an impact in 2019. With a deep minor league bench, this team is stacked and should be competitive for years to come.
