Covid-19 has forced the DFS sites and community to get creative with there contests. There have not been live sports in over a month and people are losing their minds. DFS sites have even gone as far as having contests for reality TV shows. That makes the KBO contest even less crazy.

John Lepore | October 30th, 2019

Well, folks. Here it is. The final game of the MLB season. The last chance to play MLB DFS for five months. Of course, we still have plenty of DFS coverage for the NHL and NFL, but let’s take a look at some values and see if we can finish the 2019 MLB season on a winning note.

DraftKings Around the Horn October 18th, 2019

Joel Dorcas |October 18th, 2019

Pitching has mostly had the upper hand in the Astros/ Yankees Championship Series so naturally, because of the distinct edge in their starters, we have to side with the stronger pitching team, the Houston Astros. Justin Verlander will be going on regular rest. The Yankees send left-handed starter James Paxton to the bump who has strikeout upside, but the Astros hit lefties very well. Let’s quickly go over a few players to help build your showdown lineups. It’s Game Five of the ALCS and it’s about time to go for a rip Around the Horn!

MLB DFS: ALCS Game Four Showdown

John Lepore | October 17th, 2019

Game Four of the ALCS was supposed to be last night. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans. What the change in schedule does for us though is it gives us a rematch of the Game One starters. It will be cool at Yankee Stadium tonight, and the wind will be blowing out toward the short right-field porch at about 16 mph. There should be a few souvenirs for the fans in those seats tonight.

MLB DFS – NLCS & ALCS Two-Game Slate GPP Picks

Joey Ricotta | October 15th, 2019

Last night didn’t exactly go the way I thought it would. But that’s what makes baseball so great, right? We just never know what’s going to happen. The St. Louis Cardinals are on the verge of elimination and the Washington Nationals are one game away from childhood dreams. Before that, the New York Yankees will host the Houston Astros for what will be Game Three of the ALCS. The series is currently tied at one game apiece and this sets up to be a critical swing game. As the title reads, these picks are more for GPPs/tournaments. For cash games, you may want to use a different strategy and take a safer approach. Without further ado, let’s get to the picks.

MLB DFS – NLCS Game Three: Showdown Slate

Joey Ricotta     | October 14th, 2019

Well, the first two games of the series were very much in favor of the Washington Nationals, as they stymied the St. Louis Cardinals’ offense and held them to only one run and four hits in the first two games combined. Things won’t get any easier for the Redbirds tonight. They’ll have the difficult task of attempting to barrel up Stephen Strasburg. The one thing going for them that they didn’t have in the first two games is Jack Flaherty. Whenever you can send your ace to the mound, you have to feel like you have a shot. Continue reading

MLB DFS: Championship Series Two-Game Slate

John Lepore | October 12th, 2019

MLB DFS – ALDS Game Four: Showdown Slate

Joey Ricotta | October 8th, 2019

The Tampa Bay Rays were able to stave off elimination yesterday by knocking the baseball all around the yard and defeating the Astros 10-3. But today will be even more challenging as they get the daunting task of trying to hit the timeless ace, Justin Verlander. Will they be able to do it? Who knows. What I do know is I have some top-notch options for you to use in your DFS lineups tonight. At least I hope they are top-notch.

Postseason baseball is in full swing and we’ve already had some very exciting contests. Let’s make it even more exciting with some daily fantasy. MLB DFS – NL Wild Card Game: Showdown Slate

Joey Ricotta | October 1st, 2019

Let the fun begin. Playoffs? You’re talking about…playoffs? Yes, Jim Mora. Yes, we are. The best time of the year. Soon all four major sports will be playing at the same time. We can go back and forth discussing and arguing whether Major League Baseball should keep its current one-game Wild Card playoff setup, but the fact of the matter is, it’s downright entertaining. It’s exciting to watch two teams fight it out, with it all on the line, in a winner-take-all single-elimination style game. You never know what’s going to happen. The amount of drama and emotion hanging on the balance of every pitch is what makes baseball the greatest game in the world.

MLB DFS – Monday Money Plays for September 23rd, 2019

Joey Ricotta | September 23rd, 2019

With the MLB season winding down, we won’t have many more opportunities to take advantage and make some money playing DFS. We need to capitalize on the remaining opportunities. That brings us to tonight’s small slate of five games, starting at 7:05 ET. On the docket, we have some weather concerns to monitor throughout the day, as well as a very thin group of quality pitchers to choose from. To save you time and research, I went ahead and put some work in for you. The daily grind keeps rolling and we aren’t slowing down for anything or anyone. It’s time to get right back to it. Here are some of my favorite DFS plays for tonight’s games.

Baseball DFS is every day and sticking to what your research tells you will work out over the long haul. Last week my picks didn’t turn out exactly how I would’ve liked. We are back at it again though to hopefully win a little cash. Let’s get to it.

Joel Dorcas |September 19th, 2019

Tonight will be a good night to practice what it will be like once playoff baseball begins in October. Way fewer games to pick from for our starting lineups. All toll just five are on the docket for the evening slate. Pretty straight forward, we have an ace going for Cleveland against the woeful Detroit Tigers. As for bats, three powerhouse offenses should be targeted as they are all in good spots against a left-handed starter. Let’s get right to it and go Around the Horn! Continue reading

DraftKings Around the Horn September 18th, 2019

Tonight we have flamethrower Gerrit Cole and his 0.82 ERA in September as the easy favorite as the number one starting pitcher, in turn, we will have to find value at SP2 to pay up for Cole. As for bats, the Twins, Cubs, Indians, and Astros are all in good spots and will likely lead the way as popular options to target for offense. Let’s take a trip around the diamond, let’s go Around the Horn! Continue reading

There are two NFL games on tonight after the big opening Sunday yesterday. There was baseball on yesterday and a slate of games that not many paid attention to. Tonight, however, there are eight games on the main slate on DraftKings. The perfect sized slate following a crazy, yet enjoyable Sunday of football. Just enough games to be able to differentiate your lineups from your opponent’s. Also, not too many games which allow us to fully dive into each game. Just seven games to break down in MLB DFS tonight. Stephen Strasburg is the number one pitcher option in a tough matchup at Atlanta. After that, is a whole bunch of mediocrity. A strategy that is likely to be popular will be rostering two mid-tier pitchers to go along with some higher-priced bats. Minnesota will face Nathan Eovaldi at Fenway, the Rays get a home matchup against Trent Thornton and the Jays, and the ‘Stros will look to tee off at home against Marco Gonzalez and the Mariners. Let’s “Step into a Slim-Jim” and go Around the Horn! Continue reading

DraftKings Around the Horn September 4th, 2019

Joel Dorcas |September 4th, 2019

The calendar has flipped over to September, the kids are back to school and summer days are about to turn into crisp, cooler days. Heck, I kinda like it as I was just out for some tennis and felt like the coolness gave me some extra energy. This, of course, has nothing to do with what brings you, the reader, here. Let’s dig into this somewhat un-inspiring eight-game nightcap before I start talking about the weather again. Twins at Red Sox, 11 runs implied total/ Tigers at Royals, 9.5/  Rockies at Dodgers, 9.5 are our games to target for bats. By now you know the drill, tell grandma, we’re going Around the Horn! MLB DFS – Arms, Bats, and Stacks for Tuesday September 3, 2019

All of the madness and talk is swirling around the beginning of football season and understandably so, but the baseball season is still very much in full swing and actually just starting to heat up even more. Now that we’ve made it to September, the playoff picture is really beginning to take shape and it will be a wild final few weeks of regular season play. Many of you are still taking part in last-minute fantasy football drafts (I know because I am also). But why can’t we have our cake and eat it too? Let’s take a look at some players to target for tonight’s slate of games. Hopefully, this will help save you some time, allow you to set your lineups, and get back to your football research.

A more simplistic slate awaits us for Thursday night as we have just six games to breakdown. Just like last night, Colorado appears to be where high scoring is most likely to occur. The Texas Rangers are at home against Felix Hernandez and the Seattle Mariners, and the Los Angeles Dodgers will visit the Arizona Diamondbacks. These games appear to have the best potential for higher scoring. Grabs some peanuts and a frosty beverage, we’re going Around the Horn! Continue reading

A massive run line of 14 runs easily leads the way as the Boston Red Sox, who all of a sudden are running along very nicely (8-3 in their last 11), visit Coors Field and the Colorado Rockies. Twins-White Sox are at 10.5, Rangers and Angels as well as Pirates-Phillies are both set at 10 and the Indians-Tigers chime in at 9.5. Saturday in the Ballpark: MLB DFS Picks for August 24, 2019

Joey Ricotta | Aug 24th, 2019

“Saturday in the park, I think it was the Fourth of July.” You’ve heard the popular song, sung by the group Chicago. If you haven’t, then skip this entire introduction and watch the video below. Now that we’re on the same page, I figured today would be a perfect time to lighten the mood. Last night was god awful for me. I was a Max Kepler home run that went just foul past the right field foul pole, away from cashing in all across the board. Instead, I wound up losing a decent chunk of money. Oh well. It happens. That’s the baseball DFS grind. And believe me, it is a grind. But there is no time to dwell on the past. Tonight looks like a fun slate to wipe the slate clean and get back to our winning ways. I remixed the song just for this slate. – “Saturday in the ballpark, it feels like the Fourth of July.” I’m expecting all of our home runs to be fair and fireworks to follow. Without further ado, let’s get to the picks that will get the party started. Don’t forget to enjoy the real song as well. Continue reading
