A bevy of games for tonight’s MLB card. 14 games in total to pick from to build your roster. It appears that the only weather concern will be in Cleveland where there is rain forecasted for much of the evening. Specific games to target are The Dodgers at Brewers, Colorado Rockies at home to the Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets at St.Louis Cardinals and Houston at Texas. These games project as some of the best games to focus on in terms of offensive production. Continue reading →
The baseball season is rolling right along nicely with some interesting storylines such as the Yankees, Red Sox and other teams struggling out of the gate. While other teams, Houston Astros, Tampa Bay Rays, Seattle Mariners, amongst others, continue to flourish. Of course, our focus is DFS, and today we are gonna dissect the night slate of five games. Let’s dive into it and go Around the Horn! Continue reading →
The baseball season is a grind. It’s every single day. We will approach DFS the same way and be winners at the end of the season even if we have our hot streaks and slumps. Every day there are safe bets and dark horses but we need to stick with our strategy in evaluating and playing. Next week I will put up my season numbers and will track them as we go along. For today though, let’s dive right in.
Well, hope you all had a great Jackie Robinson Day and were able to make some money last night. I hope you played Christian Yelich. I also hope you didn’t play either of the pitchers I mentioned. That might be the last time I roster Kikuchi and who knows about Cahill. Either way, the best part about MLB DFS is we get to bounce-back the next day. So, that’s exactly what we’ll do. Let’s take a look at what’s in store for tonight’s huge 13-game slate. Continue reading →
Going with a different strategy today, I’ll be spending down in most lineups at both starting pitcher spots on DraftKings tonight. Too many of the good high priced options have difficult matchups and this will help to avoid an implosion. If you’re playing on a site like Fanduel, it might make more sense to just go ahead and spend up for a guy like Trevor Bauer. With that said, let’s take a look at some of the players to target for tonight’s games that could potentially bring home the bacon. Continue reading →
Trevor Richards may have a 5.0 BB/9, but he is currently sporting a 14.7% swinging strike rate (10th in MLB) and a 32.4% o-swing (29th in MLB), which is well above the league average of 29.3%. He also has a 68.2% contact rate, which is the 9th lowest in the league and has yielded 11, 13 and 18 swinging strikes in his last 3 starts. Opposing batters are currently hitting .088 against his changeup, which has resulted in a 23.3% swinging strike rate. Pair this with 2 struggling offenses in the Chicago Cubs and Washington Nationals, paired with a home pitchers park, Trevor Richards should be in for a solid Week 3.
Happy weekend everyone, in total there are 12 evening games. Mets/ Braves, Yankees/ White Sox, Red Sox/ Orioles, Marlins/ Phillies are being prioritized in this article. Carlos Carrasco is the most obvious choice at pitching as the Indians draw the 2-10 Kansas City Royals. Let’s dig into some picks! Continue reading →
