Pitching has mostly had the upper hand in the Astros/ Yankees Championship Series so naturally, because of the distinct edge in their starters, we have to side with the stronger pitching team, the Houston Astros. Justin Verlander will be going on regular rest. The Yankees send left-handed starter James Paxton to the bump who has strikeout upside, but the Astros hit lefties very well. Let’s quickly go over a few players to help build your showdown lineups. It’s Game Five of the ALCS and it’s about time to go for a rip Around the Horn!
Game Four of the ALCS was supposed to be last night. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans. What the change in schedule does for us though is it gives us a rematch of the Game One starters. It will be cool at Yankee Stadium tonight, and the wind will be blowing out toward the short right-field porch at about 16 mph. There should be a few souvenirs for the fans in those seats tonight.
Last night didn’t exactly go the way I thought it would. But that’s what makes baseball so great, right? We just never know what’s going to happen. The St. Louis Cardinals are on the verge of elimination and the Washington Nationals are one game away from childhood dreams. Today we have both Championship Series going. The Washington Nationals will play Game Two in St. Louis today after shutting down the Cardinals last night. The Houston Astros will host the New York Yankees as their series gets started. Let’s see who should get the nod in your MLB DFS lineups today.
It all comes down to this for the four teams in the National League. Two will move on, and two will go home. Two teams will feel the thrill of victory, and two will know the agony of defeat. Okay, screw it. No more cliches. We’re here to make money, so let’s get down to it.
The Tampa Bay Rays were able to stave off elimination yesterday by knocking the baseball all around the yard and defeating the Astros 10-3. But today will be even more challenging as they get the daunting task of trying to hit the timeless ace, Justin Verlander. Will they be able to do it? Who knows. What I do know is I have some top-notch options for you to use in your DFS lineups tonight. At least I hope they are top-notch.
