New Era Pinstripe Bowl Preview

It’s kinda what we do now, yes I said WE !!!….I’m a proud native New Yorker and I am an unabashed Yankees fan. Enough about that, let’s talk about the New Era Pinstripe Bowl which will be played at Yankee Stadium. A game between two teams who were both ranked in the top 10 coming into the 2018-19 season.

Independence Bowl Preview

Here we are at another bowl game, this time its the Walk-On Bistreaux and Bar sponsoring the 43rd edition of the Walk-On’s Independence Bowl. This game will be played at Independence Stadium, in Shreveport, Louisiana. We have the Duke Blue Devils representing the Atlantic Coast Conference versus the Temple Owls, representing the American Athletic Conference. This game will be played between teams who are very entertaining to watch when they are at their best.

Bahamas Bowl Preview

Hey !!!!! …Whoever came up with the incredible idea of having a bowl game in the Bahamas has to get some kind of award. We appreciate you and in the 2018 College football season has blessed the Florida International Golden Panthers and the Toledo Rockets with a ticket to paradise…kind of. Thomas A. Robinson Stadium will be rocking most definitely.  These two teams last met in postseason action back in 2010 in the Little Ceasar’s Bowl, and it was a fantastic game in which FIU won on a last-second field goal.

Yankees Starting Early with Paxton Trade

Now it’s time for the New York Yankees to attempt to make a run at 2019 and upgrade their pitching staff. The off-season has gotten off to a major start with the acquisition of James Paxton coming to New York from the Seattle Mariners for three prospects. The biggest name out of those prospects being Justus Sheffield, who everyone had high hopes for, but unfortunately after a late-season call-up last season which really did not pan out as hoped, he became expendable. I’m not the biggest video game person you will ever meet, simply because I am used to rolling the dice when I’m trying to win. Alas, there is a board game for sports enthusiasts, more like a sports universe that can be created on your own. History Maker Baseball is a sports simulation board game by PLAAY.com, a company created by Keith Avallone. The games are designed for solitaire play but can be played head-to-head. I have played sports games by other companies, but some of them overcomplicate the process with too many charts and other things that take away from the fun of the game!!! But this game is based on player attributes which makes for more realism and more decisions that have to be made by YOU, the manager.
