Boston Bruins 2018-19 Season Review

Much like last season, the Boston Bruins started the season with a multitude of question marks. After losing Riley Nash, Rick Nash, Anton Khudobin, Nick Holden, and Tim Schaller in the offseason, the Bruins replaced them with Joakim Nordstrom, Jaroslav Halak, Chris Wagner, and John Moore. This meant that not only would young players be expected to pick up the slack; veterans would also have to carry the load at times this season. Continue reading

Breaking: Chiarelli out as Oilers GM

Following last night’s 3-2 defeat at the hands of the Detroit Red Wings, the Edmonton Oilers have fired GM Peter Chiarelli.

Chiarelli has been Edmonton’s GM since April 2015 but now follows coach Todd McLellan out the door. Chiarelli and McLellan were supposed to usher in a new era for the Oilers combined with Connor McDavid, but both tenures are over after just three-plus years. Chiarelli was hired after being fired as the GM of the Boston Bruins following a nine-year stint.
