Joshua Abbe & Dale Money | March 14th, 2020

Could iRacing soon become a possible replacement for real-life NASCAR, while it’s on hiatus? Well, we had an alternative idea! We honestly thought about if there is no racing on the track.

2019 Fantasy Football Week 16: IDP Report

Joshua Abbe | December 18th, 2019

The time is here, your championship weekend and huge congratulations on getting here. Though the work isn’t done yet and it’s time to finish off the competition and make your league championship yours! I went 0-4 in my leagues unfortunately due to my offensive players dropping the ball in most of the leagues. Plus, the Lamar Jackson factor which affected most of the semi-final matchups. So, if you defeated him, well done. Let’s go on to last week’s selections.

2019 Fantasy Football Week 15: IDP Report

Joshua Abbe | December 12th, 2019

Did you survive round one? I know I did, but it was sure it was stressful in some leagues. I went four for five in my IDP leagues where I didn’t have a bye and the one league I lost; my offensive players didn’t come to play fantasy-wise. The other guy though had a field day with his players going off. That’s alright because I’m looking forward to next season and the future is bright in that league, especially with five 2020 first-round picks to build on. That’s one league though, with the four wins I had, my IDP players stepped up big where they needed to and I sure hope you had some success. If you didn’t the scouting starts now to prepare for 2020, because your league mates are doing the same! Let’s dive into last week’s report.

2019 Fantasy Football Week 14: IDP Report

Joshua Abbe | December 6th, 2019

Let me start off by saying, congratulations to everyone who made the fantasy playoffs! Hard work pays off to those who do the work. I made four out of my five IDP leagues’ playoffs and the one I didn’t make, well I started building for the future already.

Playoffs continue to inch closer and closer. I know my leagues are coming down the to the wire, so I’m sure you’re going through the same thing. If not, consider yourself one of the lucky ones and keep up the hard work! Glory doesn’t come to those who don’t put in the work. If you’re out of the playoff hunt, I hope you haven’t stopped playing wanting to play spoiler to league mates and screwing them over. That’s also a fun alternative while preparing for next season. Nonetheless, I do hope y’all are staying competitive throughout the rest of the season to nab some bragging rights of sorts.

2019 Fantasy Football Week 11: IDP Report

Joshua Abbe | November 13th, 2019

What a weird week 10 it was, Patrick Mahomes return and Christian McCaffrey performed like always, but if you had the usual studs like Alvin Kamara, Saquon Barkley, or Drew Brees they didn’t come up big. That’s where the IDP guys come in handy and help keep your team afloat. Making that playoff push is key at this stage and every little point helps. Let’s get right into last week’s recap and on to my picks for week 11.

2019 Fantasy Football Week 10: IDP Report

Joshua Abbe | November 6th, 2019

With week 10 in our sights and playoffs shaping up, now is the time to find those IDP players to get you there. If you’re just beginning this journey in IDP or a seasoned vet, you know the toll that extra research can be. Some find it insane to worry about both sides of the ball, but to me, IDP fantasy players find the joy of the insanity that is IDP. It’s just fun and challenging. So, what if you had a bad offensive side draft, those IDP guys can keep you afloat while you make the moves you need to, to make your teams better. Keep grinding through, those extra points can win you your league rest of the season. Time to dig into the recap from last week.

Week nine is on the horizon and that’s the halfway point of the NFL season. I hope your IDP leagues are treating you well and the defensive side of the ball has been kind to you and your team. If they are carrying you to a playoff berth then keep up the work, if you’re struggling then it’s time to get on the ball and turn things around! 2019 Fantasy Football Week Eight: IDP Report

Joshua Abbe | October 23rd, 2019

I don’t know if it was just me, but week seven felt weird. Lots of stuff happened on the offensive side that you just can’t explain. Patrick Mahomes suffered a knee injury that had fantasy owners gasping for air like a punch to the gut. Though it seems he will only miss a few weeks. Alvin Kamara didn’t play and if you didn’t stash Latavius Murray, you felt the pain from that. Then the David Johnson debacle, Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury came out after the game infuriating DJ owners saying he was only going to be used in “emergency” situations. So, Chase Edmonds had a career day while he sat on many benches like mine.

2019 Fantasy Football Week Six: IDP Report

Joshua Abbe  | October 9th, 2019

Week five was not nice to the IDP report last week. Whether it was injuries or underperformance not many guys came up big on defense this week that wasn’t in the top three tiers. It looked like Clay Matthews was off to a hot start, but a broken jaw put that to a halt. My sleeper Todd Davis had a good game and Eric Weddle had a busy day. Unfortunately, the rest of the gang for my special first quarter addition came up short. The IDP game can be a mean beast if your guys don’t get the consistency and snaps to make a play or get those points tallied.

2019 Fantasy Football Week Five: IDP Report

Joshua Abbe | October 2nd, 2019

A quarter of the season has come and gone, and defenses are starting to mold their chemistry together. Some guys are standing out with their breakout seasons while others are taking it to slow still getting their legs from under them. No significant injuries happened this weekend unless you have Davante Adams or maybe Mitchell Trubisky but plugging in those IDP players to fill the voids should be helping. Let’s recap from last week’s picks.

Well here’s to hoping you didn’t lose Saquon Barkley, but if you did don’t feel defeated yet. You aren’t the only one and some of our writers did as well. It’s a painful experience as if you were hurt alongside him, but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Now you get to test your management skills till he returns and as the season goes along start to make trades and waiver pickups to stay afloat till Barkley, Tyreek Hill, Drew Brees, A.J. Green, and other key players return.

Well, it happened again and if you had Saquon Barkley like me, you know the agony of his injury. If you are in an IDP league though, you know that two individuals from last week’s report should’ve carried you to a win! I know it did for me and that is the ups and downs of being in IDP leagues. Those defensive players can help carry you to a win or they can be duds and not help at all.

What a crazy week two! A lot of big names players on the offensive side of the ball suffering injuries. Hopefully, your IDP guys made up for those points you missed out on and covered those margins that could’ve hurt you. I know my guys did, when Drew Brees went down Alvin Kamara seemed to fall off. Thankfully my IDP guys picked up the slack.

2019 Fantasy Football Week Two: IDP Report

Joshua Abbe| September 12th, 2019

Well, week one has come and gone. While some games were close and others blowouts, on the defensive side of the ball, players started to stand out and make a mark right off the bat for their teams. In a review of last week’s edition, we saw the unfortunate injury bug claim Jonathan Allen after playing only seven snaps when he injured his knee. Richard Sherman though shined with five tackles, four solos, two pass deflections and an interception for a pick-six! Zach Cunningham has five tackles against New Orleans and my sleeper pick of Jerome Baker logged eight tackles, just shy of making the double-digit mark. Going into week two the matchups are looking juicy for these guys listed below!

Fantasy Battle: Deshaun Watson vs Aaron Rodgers

Joshua Abbe | August 29th, 2019

With the shocking retirement of Andrew Luck, the quarterback position has thinned a little bit at the top of the draft board. In this fantasy battle, I’m looking at two players who should be targeted at their ADPs if fantasy players want a top quarterback. Deshaun Watson and Aaron Rodgers are two of the best fantasy quarterbacks in the league. According to Fantasy Football Calculator, Watson is being drafted at pick 5.03 as the QB2 while Rodgers is going pick 5.11 as the QB3. So let’s dig a little deeper on who I favor.

Fantasy Battle: Evan Engram vs Hunter Henry

Joshua Abbe | Aug 28th, 2019

In one of the closest position battles out there between two tier two tight ends provide an opportunity to provide fantasy points on your roster when you pass on Travis Kelce, Zach Ertz, and George Kittle. With both Hunter Henry and Evan Engram in offenses that should produce targets, they have the capability to be top tight ends at the end of the season. According to Fantasy Football Calculator, Engram has an ADP of 5.09 (TE5) while Henry has an ADP of 6.04 (TE6) makes for an interesting choice during the draft process. Let’s look at some positives and negatives for both players at their current ADPs.

Fantasy Battle: Giovani Bernard vs Duke Johnson

Joshua Abbe | July 25th, 2019

In an intriguing matchup for this fantasy battle, I’m going to look deep into some later round picks to help close out those bench spots with some value when needed. Currently, in 12 Team PPR leagues, both Giovani Bernard and Duke Johnson are going in the 14th round, Bernard as the RB62 and Johnson as the RB64 per Fantasy Football Calculator.

Six Dynasty Buy Low Candidates from the 2018 Draft

Joshua Abbe| July 23rd, 2019

With the upcoming NFL season upon us and the 2019 rookie draft has come and gone most people in the offseason have forgotten about those that may have not lived up to the hype of their rookie season in 2018 coming out of the draft. Whether it be the team that drafted them or simply waiting their time on the depth chart, I’ve selected players that should be bought low in dynasty with expectations that 2019 will be their year and value come to fruition. Be sure to jump on these guys before the preseason starts and their value goes up before week one is here.
