Minnesota Wild Embarrassed by Anaheim After a Questionable Move

The Minnesota Wild had a rough night Thursday. Firstly, the Wild traded away forward Nino Niederreiter and afterward lost a game against the Anaheim Ducks, who finally broke their 12-game losing streak. Minnesota seemed to disappoint with moving Niederreiter and then got booed after not scoring a single goal in a loss against the Ducks.

San Jose Sharks Turning Critics, Tuning up for a Potential Run

It has not been that long since the San Jose Sharks were the team deemed as busted “not going anywhere” type. The Sharks in the new season needed to put a few things together and it finally seems like San Jose is hitting its stride. Currently, the Sharks find themselves on a 7-game winning streak after taking down one of the hottest team in the NHL, the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Anaheim Ducks Send Cogliano to Dallas Stars for Shore, Silfverberg Might Be on the Move Too

We have the first big deal of this calendar year. Yesterday, the Anaheim Ducks, currently on an 11-game losing skid, swapped forwards with the Dallas Stars. Andrew Cogliano is headed to Dallas and Devin Shore has headed the other direction to California. The deal is a one-for-one (sorry if you are an Oilers fan reading this and we brought you bad memories with that quote).

Colorado’s Woes Continue, Defense is Brutal for the Avs

The Colorado Avalanche were one of the top stories last season. After having just 48 points in a miserable 2016-2017 season, the Avs bounced back with making the playoffs last spring. In the post-season, Colorado took it to heavy favorites Nashville Predators, but they fell short in Game 6 loss at the Pepsi Center in Denver when the Preds closed out the series with a resounding 4-0 victory.

Blackhawks beat Pittsburgh again. What about other active winning streaks?

Pittsburgh Penguins won eight straight games going to Sunday night, but as soon as they learned Their opponent would be, the Penguins knew the streak would come to an end. The Blackhawks defeated the Penguins for tenth straight time and in comeback fashion. The Pens scored two early goals to jump to a 2-0 lead, but Chicago came back to win 5-3 to offer a little bit of consolation for fans from Windy City.
