NFL Draft Team Mock Drafts

Tennessee Titans Pre Free Agency Seven Round Mock Draft

The Tennessee Titans’ 2019 season was a ride of ups and downs. The team started the season 2-4 before Mike Vrabel made a change at quarterback. He benched Marcus Mariota for offseason addition Ryan Tannehill. The team finished the season 7-3 and claimed the final AFC Wild Card spot with a 9-7 record. Their season ended in the AFC Conference Championship game, losing the eventual Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs 35-24.

After 19 weeks of football, we are down to the final four. The six seed Tennessee Titans and two seed Kansas City Chiefs will battle to represent the AFC while the one seed San Francisco 49ers and two seed Green Bay Packers will battle to represent the NFC in Super Bowl 54. Both games are rematches from the regular season with the Titans and 49ers pulling out the victory. Will the outcomes be the same Sunday? We shall see.

Making the Case Not to Draft DeVante Parker

The 2020 NFL season is hopefully just around the corner, and that means it’s time to get ready for fantasy football. Every year fantasy owners select players that either hit or turn into a bust. In this article, I will explain why fantasy owners should avoid Miami Dolphins’ wide receiver DeVante Parker. According to Fantasy Pros PPR ADP, Parker is being selected as the WR26 and 61st overall player off the board.

2020 Fantasy Football: Redraft Mock Draft 1.0

The 2020 NFL season is just around the corner, and that means its time to do more mock drafts. Here at The Scorecrow, 10 of our writers have come together for our first redraft mock draft of the season. Our 10 writers did a 20 round mock draft using PPR scoring. The lineup is one quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, one tight end, two flex, one super flex, one D/ST, one kicker, and 10 bench spots.

NFL Team Award Predictions

Team Award Predictions: Minnesota Vikings

The 2019 season was one of ups and downs for the Minnesota Vikings as the team dealt with a flurry of injuries on both sides of the ball. In addition to all the injuries, the offense and defense went through stints of poor play. The Vikings have a lot of turnover from last season as they made several big moves this offseason. No move was bigger than trading Stefon Diggs to the Buffalo Bills for several picks, including a 2020 first-round selection. Despite all the turnover, the team has playoff expectations this season. With that in mind, I take a shot at predicting the Vikings’ team award winners for this season.

Team Award Predictions: Atlanta Falcons

The 2019 NFL season was one of two halves for the Atlanta Falcons. After starting the season 1-7, many thought the Falcons were heading towards a top-five pick in the 2020 draft. However, after their week nine bye, the Falcons turned it around, going 6-2 over their last eight games and finished second in the NFC South with a 7-9 record. Hopefully, the team can build off their second half success and carry that into the 2020 season. With high hopes this year, I take a shot at predicting the Falcons’ team award winners for this season.

Team Award Predictions: New England Patriots

The 2019 season didn’t end well for the New England Patriots. With their week 17 loss to the Miami Dolphins, the Patriots were forced to play on Wild Card Weekend against the red hot Tennessee Titans. Tom Brady threw a game sealing pick-six in the final minute which ended their season. Fast forward a few months and we learned it will be the final play of Brady’s career in New England. Brady signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the offseason, leaving former fourth-round pick Jarrett Stidham and career journeyman Brian Hoyer to battle it out for the starting quarterback role. Despite so much unknown in New England, I’ll still take a shot at predicting the Patriots’ team award winners for this season.

12 Buy Low Dynasty Quarterbacks

The 2020 NFL draft is a little more than a month behind us and rookie drafts are wrapping up. With everyone in love with their new shiny rookie players, now is the time to buy low on players coming off a bad year, veterans with something left in the tank, or cheap long shots. For quarterbacks it’s hard to gauge their trade value, whether you play in a single quarterback league or a super flex league. However, we all know playing in a one quarterback league is lame and super flex is the new standard. With that said, I’ve put together 12 quarterbacks who fit into five categories that dynasty fantasy owners should look into trading for, especially if you are hurting at the position.

Five Bold Predictions for the Atlanta Falcons

The 2019 NFL season was one of two halves for the Atlanta Falcons. After starting the season 1-7, many thought the Falcons were heading towards a top-five pick in the 2020 draft. However, after their week nine bye, the Falcons turned it around, going 6-2 over their last eight games and finished second in the NFC South with a 7-9 record. The second half turnaround saved head coach Dan Quinn’s job. No one believed the team could turn their season around last year, so here are my five bold predictions for the Falcons in 2020.

2017 NFL Re-Draft: How Things Should Have Played Out

The deadline to exercise the fifth-year options for the 2017 first-round picks has come and gone. Of the 32 picks, 18 of them had their option exercised. Tennessee Titans Post Free Agency Seven Round Mock Draft

The Tennessee Titans were very active in free agency this offseason. They first came to a long term deal with Ryan Tannehill which allowed them to place the franchise tag on Derrick Henry. Minnesota Vikings Post Free Agency Seven Round Mock Draft

Entering the offseason, the Minnesota Vikings faced several critical decisions. With basically no cap space, the Vikings had to let go of several veterans. Xavier Rhodes and Linval Joseph were released while Everson Griffen and Trae Waynes were just a few of the free agents the team couldn’t afford to re-sign. However, the Vikings were able to sign Kirk Cousins to an extension that opened up the cap space needed to put the franchise tag on Anthony Harris.

Entering free agency everything for the Dallas Cowboys centered around Dak Prescott. To no one’s surprised, the Cowboys placed the franchise tag on Dak as they try to work out a long term deal. However, with the new Collective Bargaining Agreement put in place, the Cowboys were no longer able to also transition tag Amari Cooper. Luckily for the Cowboys, despite a strong push from the Washington Redskins, Cooper never wanted to leave Dallas and re-signed on a five-year deal.

Washington Redskins Post Free Agency Seven Round Mock Draft

After years of being overly aggressive in free agency, the Washington Redskins have learned to “shop smart”. Instead of signing big name guys to awful contracts, they have learned to focus on smaller and smarter deals. They started the offseason by placing the franchise tag on star right guard Brandon Scherff. Starting left guard Ereck Flowers signed a massive deal with the Miami Dolphins. The Redskins were wise not to match and instead sign former Atlanta Falcons’ guard Wes Schweitzer to a deal for half the cost. They made a run at Amari Cooper but he ultimately decided to re-sign with the Dallas Cowboys.

Cincinnati Bengals Pre Free Agency Seven Round Mock Draft

Needless to say, the highlight of the Cincinnati Bengals’ 2019 season was landing the top pick in the 2020 NFL draft. The team finished the season 2-14, with wins over the New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns. The Bengals didn’t win a game till week 13, which was the first week of December. However, the Cowboys struggled to be consistent on both sides of the ball the rest of the season and went 5-8 over their last 13 games, finishing 8-8 on the year. At the time, the Steelers were 0-2 and many wondered if the Steelers had just traded away a chance at Tua Tagovailoa for a safety. The Washington Redskins’ 2019 season didn’t go as anyone had planned. Between the merry-go-round at quarterback, the injuries, and the coaching/front office dumpster fire, it’s amazing the Redskins didn’t finish with the worse record in the NFL. However, the reward for the horrible season is the number two overall draft pick. Thanks to a draft night trade last season, the Redskins don’t have a second-round pick (34th overall), as it now belongs to the Indianapolis Colts. However, thanks to losing Jamison Crowder in free agency last year, the Redskins are projected to receive a fourth-round compensatory pick. In total, the Redskins are projected to have seven draft picks this year.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2019 Season Recap

Entering the 2019 season the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had hopes of making the playoffs. In reality, they were never playoff contenders. The season was highlighted by three things. One, Jameis Winston because the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for 30 plus touchdowns and 30 plus interceptions. Ironically, the Buccaneers’ season ended in overtime against the Atlanta Falcons on a pick-six that gave Winston his 30th interception of the season. Two, Chris Godwin’s breakout season. Despite missing 2.5 games because of a hamstring injury, Godwin finished third in the league with 1,333 receiving yards. The duo of him and Mike Evans might be the best in the league. Three, Shaquil Barrett had a breakout season, leading the league with 19.5 sacks. Entering the season he had 14 career sacks.
