Welcome ladies and gentlemen! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are going to enjoy this massive 12 game slate on Black Friday! I hope after all of your shopping is finished that you lock and load up for your contests so we can continue the great holiday weekend. As usual, I will be bringing you my top pay up spots and top value spots. We have some star-studded names for tonight’s slate so where should we spend that salary at? I have you covered so let’s dig in and get to researching. Good luck and cash out!
Top Pay Up Spots
LeBron James versus Washington Wizards ($11,200)
We all know that LeBron James is a monster and can go off at any given point and with the matchup that he has tonight, he makes for a great pay up spot. The Washington Wizards aren’t the worse against the forward position though as they allow them to average just 21 points, seven rebounds and three assists per game. They also give up just 38.7 fantasy points to opposing forwards.
Lebron James on the other end is averaging 1.6 fantasy points per minute with a usage rating of 31%. James has also exceeded his value in four of his last five games with just one underwhelming performance versus the Memphis Grizzlies. Also, as usual, Anthony Davis is walking into this game with a questionable tag and if he does sit due to the Lakers being cautious, it bumps Lebron James up to the top of the list of must plays.
Andre Drummond versus Charlotte Hornets ($9,200)
We are going right back to where we went on Wednesday with Andre Drummond. He recorded 52.3 fantasy points versus Charlotte and has the opportunity to do it once again. He put up just 14 points with 21 rebounds and seven assists in 38 minutes. He’s averaging 1.43 fantasy points per minute while averaging a massive double double of 17 points and 17 rebounds per game.
The Charlotte Hornets are giving up the third-most fantasy points to opposing centers with 60.51 per game. They are also allowing them to average 24 points, 17 rebounds and four assists per game. This will once again be a slow-paced game as both teams average around 105 possessions per game.
Luka Doncic versus Phoenix Suns ($11,800)
Luka Doncic has been on fire this season and is campaigning for the MVP title already. He finally had a slightly underwhelming performance versus the Los Angeles Clippers where he recorded just 43.5 fantasy points in 35 minutes. On the season Doncic is averaging 34 minutes per game while averaging 30 points, ten rebounds, and nine assists per game. He’s carrying a usage rate of 35% while averaging 1.81 fantasy points per minute.
The Phoenix Suns have proved that they are not the joke of the league this season and are putting up a much more difficult of a fight. They are giving up 21 points, nine assists and five rebounds per game. They are also allowing 46.71 fantasy points to opposing guards. Doncic does carry one of the heavier price tags on this slate so fading may not be the worse when you have Lebron James in a much better match up.
Top Value Spots
Coby White versus Portland Trailblazers ($5,000)
The young rookie, Coby White, has been a little inconsistent this year but has a great matchup tonight on paper. He has either exceeded his value easy in the past five games or he has missed by a wide margin. In three of the past five games where White missed his value, he recorded just 15.5, 19.3 and 5.8 fantasy points. He’s averaging just .88 fantasy points per minute with a usage rating of 24% also. At the $5,000 salary price though, he’s a riskier pay down spot tonight on this slate.
Coby White does get to face the Portland Trailblazers though who are giving up the second-most fantasy points to the point guard position with 53.15. They also allow opposing guards to average 27 points, eight assists and seven rebounds per game. We know Portland struggles at times on defense and with Coby White having a higher ceiling, he may just be able to exceed his value easily.
Moritz Wagner versus Los Angeles Lakers ($4,700)
We can scream at revenge narrative or just yell that it’s Moritz Wagner at a good price for his consistent play. Wagner has put up three good performances to reach value in his past five games also. He is averaging 1.29 fantasy points per minute while holding a 22% usage rating,
The Los Angeles Lakers though are a tough matchup as they stop a majority of the centers in the league. They currently give up the fewest fantasy points to the position with just 43.42 per game. They also hold them to just 18 points, 12 rebounds and three assists per game. Like I mentioned though in Lebron James write up, Anthony Davis is walking into the game with a questionable tag and if he’s out, it’ll also boost up Moritz Wagner’s opportunity tonight.
Danny Green versus Washington Wizards ($4,500)
If you can’t tell that I am a fan of this game tonight, well my apologies. Danny Green has been a pretty consistent option as a salary relief lately besides the game versus New Orleans. Before recording just seven fantasy points versus New Orleans, Green recorded three straight games of 20 or more fantasy points. He is averaging 18.6 fantasy points per game while holding a usage rating of 14%.
Washington is currently giving up the most fantasy points to opposing guards with 49.80 per game. They are also allowing them to average 28 points, seven assists, and six rebounds per game. The minutes have been there for Danny Green, it just depends on if his shot can fall or if he can compete in the paint for the boards.
