Not going to lie, my first week of this series…….did not go great. I lost all of my bets…..even my futures bet. But as good gamblers do, we do not relent. We move forward and we pick some new winners this week. Let’s get rich!
Life’s Too Short To Bet The Under, Over of The Week: Patriots at Jets O/U 42
Monday night, Sam Darnold is back, and the New England Patriots. This is a recipe for high scoring, breakout game for the Jets. The Patriots and Tom Brady continue their march to a 16-0 season, and Darnold continues his march to bring the Jets back from the dead after a great first game back against the Cowboys.
My Lock of the Week: Ohio State -28 at Northwestern
The Last time Ohio State visited Northwestern resulted in one of the worst bad beats of all time. In 2013, Ohio State was -5.5 and winning 34-30 with seconds left. A series of laterals by Northwestern led to a fumble recovered by Joey Bosa in the endzone with no time left. Ohio State won 40-30 and holes were punched in drywalls by Northwestern betters. Ohio State is just vastly superior. Ohio State is allowing 8.8 PPG while Northwestern is averaging 14.4 PPG. Unless Northwestern lets the grass grow knee-high, this will be brutal.
Underdog of the Week: Arizona +9.5 at USC
I’m not sure I love Arizona to win outright, but I think they cover easily. Arizona leads USC in every offensive category. Defensively, they are both have terrible defenses. USC is ranked 94th and Arizona is ranked 119th. Expect Khalil Tate to have a monster game and carve up that USC defense.
Futures Bet: Cincinnati +400 AAC Champions
RIP to the former Nation Champion, UCF Golden Knights. They have fallen apart. Outside of the Ohio State game, Cincinnati is by far the best team in the AAC. They are climbing the rankings and are looking like the team everyone thought they could be.
